The item was shipped quickly and is working as it should in my 2700 sq. ft. cabinet shop located near Kansas City. I unpacked it and hooked up the condensate drain to the pump bulkhead fitting which felt wiggly. During the first pump cycle the unit was leaking water. Rather than rebox it and hassle with the return, I investigated the issue to discover the bulkhead fitting had been damaged. I passed the hose through the side of the cabinet to the condensate pump discharge until I was able to purchase a replacement bulkhead fitting. $10 and a few hours of fixing and the unit is working as it should. The humidity in the shop has gone from 65%-70% to a steady 40% in a couple days. Hopefully the unit last a long time.
We have a tough job site with a humid basement. The machine works very efficiently and can do the job. It also comes with a pump and defrost function which is a bonus.
This dehumidifier is much easier to operate than I expected.
My restaurant often experiences wet and slippery floors on rainy days, especially during the summer months. I have tried several different machines in the past, and this one has been the most impressive by far.
It has been two weeks since I received it. I let it work for 5 hours a day in the first few days after receiving it, and it can pump up to 5 gallons of water. Now the weather is more humid, but my basement is still very dry.
We had about 3 feet of water flowing under our house in the crawl space and we're nowhere near a river. Being concerned about mold we ordered this unit. It arrived fast! We set it up and in less than a week the moisture level went from 90% down to 60%. I'm so glad we got this, it was easy to set up and it drains the condensation away from the house. You can't hear any noise from the unit up in the house. I would recommend this unit.
